embark on a magical journey to discover the 12 days of yule and the celestial and mythological significance to many modern-day traditions we know of within christmas today.
we meet on the first day of yule; on december 20th, also known as mother’s night, or Mōdraniht / Modresnacht. on this day, we celebrate the divine feminine; our maternal line of ancestors, deities and goddesses like Rozhanitska and the Reindeer Mother. This is a day to honour divine mother energy and mother mary.
we usher in the pinnacle of winter solstice as a significant turning point and time to take a sacred pause over a three-day window before the sun is reborn again on what we know of today as christmas morning.
